Rickey Hawkins is a professional musician,bassist, mod technician of wood and tone with over 40 years experience in the music industry. Rickey has a unique style and has the capacity to play different styles of music that infiltrates distinctive rhythmic groove, fabulous bass lines and smooth harmonic tones that captivates his audience leaving a lasting impression. His ability to play both by ear and by written composition has made him an invaluable resource on the music circuit throughout Chicago.
His experience as a bassist landed him with playing and recording with some of the top artists in the music industry including: Ethel Holloway, Calvin Bridges,Adrin B. King, Rickey Dillard,Mark Hubbard,James Chambers,Edwin Hawkins,The Enchantment,The Chilites, Nu Sound Source,and more. Rickey's extensive music background has enhanced his skills and motivated him to do and learn more,help and teach others while yet remaining humble and committed to his craft. He is the owner of SlamminDatBass Productions where he specializes in studio recording, studio engineering, video and video editing; producing and creating quality work for local artist around the Chicago-land area.
